ÖTSM
Austrian 4-Stroke Team Kart Championship
Austria’s team championship for 4-stroke karts: endurance racing on Saturday, sprints on Sunday – in 2026 over five race weekends in Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Right in the mix: the motorSPORTaktiv teams.
What is the ÖTSM?
The ÖTSM is the Austrian 4-Stroke Team Kart Championship, organised by the Austrian Kart Sport Association (Österreichische Kart Sport Vereinigung).
Teams race 4-stroke race karts. Every race weekend combines two disciplines: on Saturday the 6-hour endurance race is all about teamwork, driver changes and strategy; on Sunday short sprint races are all about pure speed.
It’s not only the team that is scored: there are also separate classifications, for example for the sprints and for juniors.
motorSPORTaktiv competes with three teams: motorSPORTaktiv.at, mSa keyman.at and mSa LASERTEC. The way into a team is our ÖTSM training in the series’ race karts.

The way in is our ÖTSM training – from age 11 and a minimum height of 146 cm. When the time is right for a first race, we decide together.
Do you need your own kart?
No. You race in the motorSPORTaktiv teams’ race karts – MS karts with a 420 cc 4-stroke engine and a top speed of around 100 km/h.
What is the difference between endurance and sprint?
On Saturday the team runs a 6-hour endurance race with driver changes and pit stops. On Sunday eight short sprint races follow, all about pure speed.
What equipment do you need?
Race suit, helmet, gloves, neck and rib protection and sturdy shoes.
