The mSa Junior Program

Kids Academy

Keep going, get faster, go racing: the Kids Academy is regular karting training for children and teenagers aged 7 to 16 who have caught the bug – about once a month, in a regular group and with experienced instructors. From here, the path leads all the way to the first races.

Ready for the Kids Academy?

Whether you are ready shows on the track. Typical signs:

At the end of the karting course, our instructors tell you and your parents how you drove – and whether the Kids Academy is the right next step. The karting course is not a requirement: if you already have karting experience, you can join straight away.

  • You want to come back straight after the course and ask about the next date.
  • You are interested in your lap times – and want to improve them.
  • You drive safely on your own, know the flags and have your karting licence.
  • You want to overtake, compete with others and go racing.

FAQ

Questions about the Kids Academy

Karting course or Kids Academy – where should my child start?

If you are getting into a kart for the first time, the Kids & Teens Karting Course is the right place: it is all about trying it out, driving safely, learning the flags and, at the end, the karting licence. If it was fun and you want more, the Kids Academy is the next step – roughly once a month in a regular group, focusing on racing line, braking points and lap times, with the first races as the goal. Often both are on the programme on the same course day, just in different groups.

Does my child have to do the karting course first?

No. Anyone who already has karting experience can join the Kids Academy straight away. If your child has never sat in a kart, the Kids & Teens Karting Course is the best place to start.

From what age can my child take part?

The Kids Academy is for children and teenagers aged 7 to 16. Height matters too: from 125 cm at Kart1Arena Bratislava and from 145 cm at Speedarena Rechnitz.

How often does the Kids Academy take place?

About once a month, in a regular group. You can join or stop at any time – simply book the date that suits you.

Does my child need their own kart?

No. We drive the track’s rental karts – children’s or adult karts depending on height and ability.

What happens in bad weather?

We drive in any weather.

Are there gift vouchers?

Yes, the Kids Academy is also available as a voucher without a fixed date – for example as a gift. If a date is fully booked, you can join the waiting list.

What comes after the Kids Academy?

Our instructors recommend the right next step: the Kart Camp as an intensive training week, Performance Coaching for fine-tuning and, with talent, ÖTSM training in the 4-stroke race kart. After that come the first team races in AIM/AOM and the ÖTSM. We decide when you are ready and discuss it with you and your parents.
